We've got a great line up of music acts this year showcasing a broad spectrum of styles and genres but all with an Irish heritage.

This year we've also have the 'Session Tent'.  This tent is dedicated to traditional Irish music and we invite you, members of the public to join in on a Traditional Irish Music session if you so wish.

Below is a list of the acts and activities that we have locked in.

We are still finalising the festival lineup and order of events.  When finalised we'll post it on this page.  This should help you to get the most from the day.

Scroll down for the final line-up, order of events &  Festival map

ZEON: The five piece band will make you stomp and sing and shed a tear as you hear new tunes and old favourites. Zeon fuses traditional and modern Irish tunes, with hints of folk, bluegrass and country. Check them out in this video:

Paddy Fitz, Ewan Baker & Friends:

An Gabhain are three siblings who moved from Ireland to Melbourne only four years ago. The group consists of Orla Gavin on fiddle and vocals, Kieran Gavin plays flutes and whistles, and Luke Gavin rounds off the group with guitar and banjo.

Borderline Kaylee is a collection of vibrant young musicians from Melbourne performing a mix of Folk and Celtic songs and tunes.

Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann:- Traditional Irish Music and Dancing done the traditional way.

The tent caters for smaller more intimate acts and affords the festival goers the opportunity to experience and enjoy a traditional Irish music 'session'.  We invite you, members of the public to join in on one of the Traditional Irish Music sessions.  We would ask that you follow the guidlines that will be displayed on the day so as to give everyone a fair go.

Another crowd favourite, Irish Dancers from the following dancing schools;

  • Mayne School of Dance

  • Christine Ayres School of Irish Dancing

The Melbourne Irish Festival would like to thank Yarra Council and we ask you to keep Edinburgh Gardens beautiful by using the bins provided and tidying up after youself.

Patrons have been very respectful in the past and we hope that this will be the case this year.  Thank you.
